Nissan Skyline R32 GTS-T RB20DET

...Finally my insurance said YES!

After a few years of very successful and happy motoring in my first JDM Import - The Toyota Soarer - I could now afford to insure a Nissan Skyline!

I was about to hit 25 too at the time, which is another car insurance milestone for the car enthusiast - So with 5+ years no claims at that point, and at 1 year no claims on another higher performance car and me turning 25 - I could now insure one!

..yes, there was a lot of hoops to jump through to get one for sure, though I think it was the "boy racer" history and import status that made these hard to insure rather than the values of them at the time.

My understanding now (as of 2026 anyway) is insurance premiums are high on these again due to the fact the car value has actually gone up a significant amount to when I bought this.

This Car was my dream spec RB20DET Nissan Skyline R32 GTS-t - Short of the Bee*r 324 bodykit - It had everything I would've wanted done engine wise and chassis wise - and importantly, it maintained a near enough standard interior so the car could be daily'ed and road tripped.

RB20DET running 396 bhp / 333 ftlb torque @1.3 bar at the hubs- Changed from boost controller to boost on ECU, mapped to this on 10/20/2018 at GB Enterprises- Video Below currently sat at 92000 miles ( I have since been told the current owner had it mapped again and its now around 420BHP - Incredible numbers for an RB20DET)
